For those who has the passion to do their bit for community here is the chance for you. SCI Malaysia is organising a workcamp in May/June 2005.

Topic: Antiracism, antifascism, refugees and ethnic minorities

Campcode:MY-1-1 Termeloh/Pahang, PenangThe camp will be in two parts. The first, is jointly with the Association of the Blind at Termeloh and the second with local partners, in Penang

Work: General maintenance, housekeeping, farm work, paintwork and minor repairs. Post Tsunami relief work in Penang restoration and improvement work on damaged properties.

Study: Encourage Life-long Peace activism; To identify / develop / promote ;The Art of Peace; and to provide a resource for continual peace education. Multi-Ethnic integrations and social harmony. Lessons we can learn about how a country can benefit by successfully integrating its diverse ethnic population and achieve social harmony.

Accommodation: Participants will be housed either in quarters or tent nearby. Toilet and washing facilities are modern Language: English Qualification: Prepared to do manual work and shared responsibility

Terminal/Region: The meeting place will be at Kuala Lumpur. Participants will be directed to a central meeting place called Sentral at the heart of the city

Extra: Sleeping bag, light musical instruments & songs, clothes for work, play, games and water sports. The participation fee is US 100(for international participants)
