Penans are categorized into two main groups based on where they live : the Western Penans and the Eastern Penans.

Eastern group : The Penans from Kubaan-Puak Forest Management Unit - they live mainly in Baram and Tutoh regions.

Western group: they live mainly in the Belaga region of Sarawak, Malaysia.

This indigenous people of Sarawak used to live by the following nomadic culture:

• Do not have permanent settlements,
• Do not farm, living mainly by foraging forest resources.

Nevertheless, as of today, only a small group of Penans are nomadic.

For breakfast I drink coffee, a glass of milk and some orange juice with a tablespoon of olive oil in it. Olive oil is great for the arteries and keeps my skin healthy. Just Bought A Brand New MW829BK

I wanted to a shoe which is 2+1 or 3+1, means it can be suitable for the following:

1.) Walking

2.) Casual

3.) Semi formal

In other words, I am looking for something which is almost all-in-one and lasting.

My experience told me that having good shoes is important, especially if you need to walk a lot, it can save your energy (do not get unnecessary fatigues) and make you walk faster (with the same amount of load).

And to be able to work with semi formal, I need it to be in all black color.

Thus, instead of getting a real leather shoe, I thought why not get something from the sports manufacturer ?

I have shortlisted a few from the Internet, but seems like online browsing does not blend well with real touch.

Eventually, I settled for New Balance MW829BK. The original price is RM 339.00 with 30%, I got it with RM 240++

I went to the shop at The Gardens (3rd Floor).

Trust me, it is a good deal. A good way to save money.

Now with this new shoe, I have no worries if I need to walk day long with pubic transport, or jump into my car for some business events.

It Is High Time To Live Frugally

Five billionaires who are reportedly to live frugal lifestyles.

I think now is high time to explore such possibility.

Technology is getting cheaper, thus you actually don't have to pay a lot more to get similar high tech stuff. The casualty will be the vendors, however if vendors can practice the same frugal lifestyles, then all will be balance back ?

Sometimes it is also important to mix with the right group of friends; frugal friends.

KIA Forte - Looks Good

The reason I think this car is cool is because it supports the idea of spend less for more.

The cheapest model is 1.6 L costing RM 75,800.00 while the 2.0 L model costs only RM 93,800.00. Check out details here.

But honestly, I don't really fancy the name Forte. While I think the brand of NAZA sound cooler than KIA.

It is categorized as small-car and rivals with Honda Civic, Toyota Altis, Mazda 3 and etc.

And it doesn't seem to offer fully manual transmission,except that it offers semi manual transmission.

There was just a handful of us.

Maybe it is an unpopular mamak; at least not like before.

Singapore is peaceful.

Generally, I feel that Singaporean have a lot of mutual respect for each other, but it is lacking curiosity.

I learned that each shopping mall has its own personality. For instance, Rowena Square is the sports center, lucky plaza is where all the Indonesian hang-out during Sunday.


In Singapore, if you take out your shoe and throw out, you will hit 96 chinese, 2 mat sallehs and 1 Malay and 1 others.

The food ? Not bad too. The vegetarian food is nice and usually comes in a larger package than those in Malaysia.

In Singapore, the girls are very self-assured. They don't actually look at you.

Oh ya, I noticed that there are more Ferrari(s) in Singapore than in Malaysia.

The Jam Was Yesterday

So my trip down to Ipoh last weekends and back to KL and then Seremban was blessed with unexpected ease.

It seems that the jam was yesterday, everybody seems to be coming back on Sunday itself. Wow, the city folks took more than one week off for holidays.

Trip to Ipoh

I was down to Ipoh to attend friend's wedding.

It was nice trip went, there was no traffic congestion at all. I drove up the North-South highway at ease, immersed within the peaceful drive captivated by simple yet beautiful country sides.

It wasn't long until I reached Simpang Pulai, got out of the highway. Boom!!! Ipoh.

The first place I got into was Kek Lok Tong, a place of buddhist cum taoist temple cum recreational park.



















Ipoh people are more laid back and talk more about humanity. They have time for love and fun.

One thing about Ipoh folk, they love karaoke as much as they are curious about life. I guess you can say that life is a bit more monotonous in Ipoh.

It is good to go back there every once in a while.

People Never Change

First of all, kudos to the Sultan of Selangor.

And this is an example where majority of people simply never change; live the life which is intended for.

And would Pakatan ever work ??? Hope so.

Even though I will not be going (for the event) for the next 10 years, but it is not my business and why should I care? Sometimes we have to learn to mind own business.

Last Minute Only

The biggest thing about this Petrol price rise in Malaysia is that people are just not ready.

Due to the fact that Malaysia has been living under the "Bolehland" culture where even many don't believe that we are superior, but in certain ways, Malaysian feel that we are lucky in many ways.

Nobody, even Lim Kit Siang, would have expected that oppositions would take five states in the recent general election. Barisan National is still recovering from shock.


And same goes to the inflation problem, people are just caught off-guard.

2. Working Extra Jobs (still not enough)

I have spoken to some people with high rise incomes and they think that the petrol price of RM 2.70 is justifiable. Of course, these people can afford to pay for it.

But not the majority who are unprepared.

The government is looking into a system for which people can buy in bulk. This is not a bad suggestion actually.

Personally, I feel that if the inflation problem is left unchecked, Malaysian would be forced to undergo unprecedented social evolution which marks the beginning of complex social-economy ecosystem.

When the sole-breadwinner is not able to make ends meet, options would have to be opened up.

Unless, someone can manage to invent in time a superfood and this will kill the food industries along the way.
