Source Salt from a House Who Hasn't Seen Death
This Youtube shares 4 stories of Lord Buddha, I like to elaborate to you one of the story which I particularly like.
During Buddha's time, a woman brought a dead baby and requested Lord Buddha to revive the child.
Buddha said he would do what was necessary, however, he would need a vital ingredient to bring about the resurrection.
Lord Buddha requested the woman to source salt from a house who has never seen death. The woman went through house by house, started with great joy, but to no end she could find such a house.
At the end of the day, she went back kneeling in front of Lord Buddha and said that she understood the lesson - she is not the only person in the world who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
The moral of the story: Everyone has to go through pain in their life - pain, loss, depression are part of life.
Be grateful today and always be compassionate to others and try to understand the pain of others - everybody has problems in life.

Buddhism on the human origins and the creator
In the Buddhist sutra (增一阿含經 (CN) ; Ekottaragama-sutra (EN) ), it is mentioned indeed human origins was heavenly beings.

In nutshell (based on the text as spoken by Lord Buddha), the universe was subjected to big-bang creation after which the old world (previous universe) was subjected to destruction, nonetheless, the destruction left out certain realms and one of such is known as the 光音 heaven which was where human origins came from.
After the destruction of the previous world, the big-bang happened and earth was created along with the sun, moon and other planets known and unknown to modern science.
Heavenly beings from 光音 heaven whose heavenly life had almost come to an end, were lured by the virginity of planet earth and decided to come forth to venture out of the heaven.
Once they settled, they found themselves trapped and unable to go back and hence lived on.
According to the text, all human ancestors came straight from 光音 heaven were light skinned color and today's human complexion was a result of different lifestyles, mindsets, influence from the weather and other factors.
When our heavenly human ancestors came to earth, they were greeted by a god (大梵天王) who told them that "I have no creator, I am hence natural,the creator of the universe and parents to all beings".

如是我闻，一时薄伽梵在王舍大城，竹林园中与大苾刍众五百人俱，时，有众多
苾刍身患痔病，形体赢瘦，痛苦萦缠，于日夜中，极受忧恼，时具寿阿难陀，见
是事己，诣世尊所，顶礼双足，在一面立，白佛言，世尊，今王舍城，多有苾刍，
身患痔病，形体赢瘦，痛苦萦缠，于日夜中，极受忧恼，世尊，此诸病苦，云何
救疗。
尔时佛告阿难陀，汝可听此疗痔病经，读诵受持，系心勿忘，亦于他人，广为宣
说，此诸痔病，悉得除殆，所谓风痔、热痔、瘖痔、三合痔、血痔、腹中痔、鼻
内痔、齿痔、舌痔、眼痔、耳痔、顶痔、手足痔、脊背痔、粪门痔、遍身支节所
生诸痔，如是痔廔，悉皆干燥堕落消灭，必瘥（念chai，四声）无疑，皆应诵持，
如是神咒，即说咒曰：
阿难陀，于此北方，有大雪山王，中有大婆罗树，名曰难胜，有三种华，一者初生，
二者圆满，三者干枯，犹如彼华，干燥落时，我诸苾刍，所患痔病，亦复如是，勿
复血出，亦无脓流，永除苦痛，悉皆平复，即令干燥，又复若常诵此经者，得宿命
住，智能忆过去七生之事，咒法成就，梭哈，又说咒曰：
『怛至他。占米占米。舍占尼。舍末尼。舍占尼。梭哈。
佛说是经已，时具寿阿难陀，及诸大众，皆大欢喜，信受奉行。

FGS 永文法师 Talk - 走过逆境，超越生死
永文法师在佛光山文教中心，23-Jun-2011, 8pm.
这是我的理解。
永文法师在三十多年前，正当在念书时，得到Systemic Lupus Erythematosus（SLE）,医生说只剩三年的命。
走过了三十多年的人生，永文法师为我们带来一些走过逆境的经验。
很重要的是，在这种情况下，必须先接受事实，然后做最坏的准备，这样就可以放下了。
要做因缘观。
生病在医学的原理是因为免疫系统出了问题。
因(body)缘(lifestyle)果(sickness)。
所以，生活习惯(lifestyle)很重要。
要保持无住的心。
永文法师也解释人间佛教。
以四种涅槃的概念。
就是说，人间佛教代表平等开悟，以生活学来开悟。 不一定是有余涅槃，无余涅槃。 也可以是自性涅槃，究竟涅槃。

Ullambana's Origin?
Ullambana lasts from the first to the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar's seventh month. It is also known as the month of the monastics, merits, gratitude, filial piety and blessings. Ullambana's origin dates back to the Buddha's era when Maudgalyayana(目建连) saw his mother suffering in the realm of hungry ghosts with his supernatural power. He tried to provide food to his mother but they were burnt into flames. Maudgalyayana thus sought the Buddha's advice, and was told to make food offerings to the monastics at the end of the rainy retreat and dedicate the merits to his mother. This would relieve not only his mother's suffering, but also the suffering of this parents of seven lifetimes.

放下究竟怎样 (To Let It Go)？
People always asked me this question.
The answer is very simple, accept, repent and rebuild.
Accept who you are, repent what you have done, rebuild a new self.
However, this is very hard to do, because it conflicts with your current self.
Thus, the alternative methods are:
By doing these things, you train yourself to let go your wants.

- Eat simple food – sacrifice your food desire.
- Do charity – sacrifice your time, ego and comfort.
- Live a simple life - do away desires.
By doing these things, you train yourself to let go your wants.

心结与修行
一个人有心结，就起烦恼，不喜了，苦了。
也可能会堕了，变坏了。
一个人有心结，可以尝试修行。
请看『修行要修心』。
为什么修心后就会解心结呢？
因为你得到慈悲心后，你就会放下，得到定力，智慧，了解心结的来龙去脉，那时你就会自己解开心结。
比如，念经是修行活动之一，不是念经就会自然解心结，是因为有念经，就有修行，就有修心，就有慈悲心，就能放下，就有定力智慧。
自己医病不好吗？
心结一天不解，可能永远都拖累你 （我不敢肯定）。
修行不是迷信，不是逃避。
修行是慈悲。
我认为慈悲心，应该可以解很多的心结。
所以，你在佛堂，看见我在跪跪拜拜，不要笑我，因为我在修行。
那，我是不是有心结还没解呢 ？哈，你去猜猜看。。你的答案不一定准,我也不会告诉你。
