Marine Turtles Are Still in Crisis. WWF Needs Your Help!

The marine turtles have been on Earth for well over 100 million years, surviving even the demise of dinosaurs. Yet today, their numbers continue to plummet in most parts of the world.

Malaysia is fortunate to host four species of marine turtles out of the seven species worldwide.

Most of us are aware that marine turtles population faces escalation of threats that consist of beach erosion and coastal development, egg-collection,fishery-related mortality and pollution.

Sadly, only 1 out of 10,000 hatchlings survives to adulthood.

What most of us do not know is that:

• Green turtles are largely herbivorous and their constant grazing help to increase the health and growth rate of the sea grass beds which are essential in supporting other marine species. This vast biomass provides food, habitat, and nursery areas for a myriad of fish, shrimps, crabs, seahorse, etc.
• Hawksbill turtles are one of the very few marine species that feed on sponges and play a caretaker role in healthy reef systems which hlep to sustain thriving populations of fish and other marine creatures.

Bush is not worried, it is not his problem

USA president George Bush is not worried anything about the financial crisis, it is not his problem, which was started from the private corporate side.

He is the savior.

No Money No Talk - Tricky

It is apparent that The Bush administration has been under attacked for some period.

But USA has always been leader in everything not until the recent Olympic games. That doesn't matter anyway.

The point is that USA has got everything.. they got strong public sector, private sector and individuals.

The recent financial market turmoil shouldn't be a public sector fault, the fact that these financial institutions are global and private.

Current US goverment (The Bush administration) sees this as an opportunity to save the day, by suggesting to use federal funds to bail-out those troubles institutions lead by private business commandos. It isn't hard to propose this because it wasn't the government's fault, now they have an opportunity to be recognized otherwise.

But it seems that things are not getting easier.

The question now is what matter most... Do you want to save the economy, business or people ?

Looks like they need another miracle.
